Just wanted to let yall know that I'm hosting another GildedGala multiplayer event in celebration of our upcoming animation, "Violet vs Dummy" - a battle between an archer and jester. It actually features characters made by my wife and her very good friend.
The premiere is next Saturday (December 21st) on my Twitch, and will be accompanied by a multiplayer game that viewers can access for free on my website! ► https://gildedguy.com/gala
I created a mini-trailer that shows off it's many features! I personally programmed it all with the help of the PhotonEngine for Unity:
- Customizable avatars and ability to move around with other players.
- Equippable items and cosmetics with stats & effects.
- 4 Carnival themed mini-games (plus a hedge maze!)
- Item gifting so you can share your earned/purchased items with others.
- Nearly a dozen side-quests!
- Persistent data, so your progress is saved.
I've always wanted to code my own little MMORPG, and these animation events allow me to be creative with coding alongside my animation work.
So please bookmark the gala page for next Saturday and check it out once the game goes live! It'll only be around for a day or so before I tear it down.
